When I type in my vehicle model number, a lot of search results are displayed. How can I narrow the results?

When entering your search criteria, please enter the vehicle model name (e.g. D105) or keyword (e.g. mower) or publication number, which is also known as the SKU (e.g. OMGX25572); you can also enter in multiple keywords (e.g. D105 mower).

Also, if you know what type of publication you are searching for, make sure to select it from the publication drop-down menu. If you want to narrow your search results even more, choose from the Industry and Language filters on the left hand side of the page.

What happens if the product I’m searching for is not available?

If you entered in a search term and it returned zero results, try entering in different search criteria. The following fields can be searched on: Model, Publication Number, or Keywords/Description. You can also select a publication type from the publication dropdown menu. If you still cannot find the product, feel free to call our customer service department at 1-800-522-7448 or email Customer Support.

I'm having problems logging in as a dealer or employee on my first visit. How do I log in properly?

John Deere Dealers, Hitachi Dealers, or John Deere employees will use their Dealernet or JDnet username and password when registering. Using these credentials will offer potential discounts at checkout.

I'm having problems logging in as a customer on my first visit. How do I log in properly?

Select the arrow next to the Log In button in the upper right hand corner and choose New User Account Request. This will go to the MyJohnDeere login page, where you should select Create New Account. Once an account is created and validated, the user will return to the Technical Information Store and show as logged in.

How do I update my account information, such as my email address or dealer account number?

To update your account information, you will first need to log in. After logging in, select Your Account from the top menu and then select Your Profile. You can change your account information by selecting the Edit button at the bottom of the screen and proceeding with the changes.

I am tax exempt, however tax was applied to my order.

Please call our Technical Information Store call center at 1-800-522-7448 during our business hours Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST for help. All online orders will have state tax applied unless your state is tax exempt. If you are a tax exempt business or farm and are able to provide a W-9 form or tax ID certificate, please order using our Technical Information Store call center. We will ask you to provide a copy of your tax id number or certificate to Customer Support or fax to 563-355-3690.

If I purchase a CD will I be able to download the PDF until my order arrives?

This functionality is not available at this time. Only book or CD is available for shipment through online purchases.

When will I receive my order?

All products ordered are Print on Demand (POD) and need 3-4 business days for manufacturing plus shipping time. Please allow 7-10 business days total for arrival by UPS. Please note if you purchase expedited shipping it will only affect the ship method and not the manufacturing process. To track your order, visit the Order Search page or call 1-800-522-7448 during our business hours, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST.

The system will not accept my credit card with the billing address I have entered.

Please have the correct billing address and zip code entered for the credit card being used. If you still face issues, please call 1-800-522-7448 during our business hours.

I have added items to my cart but cannot find how to check out.

After you have added items to your cart and are ready to check out, please click on the shopping cart, which will take you to the start of the checkout process.

What is Order Confirmation?

Order confirmation is an email receipt acknowledging your order. Deere & Company assumes no responsibility for network or customer computer problems that may cause an order or credit card confirmation email to not reach the customer. If we receive any indication that email notification was unsuccessful, we will attempt to contact you at the telephone number you provide. You can also verify the confirmation of the order by accessing your order history.

How do I cancel an order?

Unfortunately submitted orders cannot be canceled. This site automatically processes an order the moment it is placed.

Can I return my order?

All technical information orders are produced through a Print on Demand (POD) process so returns will not be allowed unless the product is shipped due to an error by the John Deere Technical Store. Please refer to our Return Policy & Sales Tax page for more information.

How can I find the status of my order?

To find the status of an order or to view your order history, click on Order Search at the top of the page. You will need to provide your order number and email address to view past orders. To view more details about an order, click on the order number. To view the shipping status, click on the tracking number to go directly to the shipper’s status site.

Can I split my order to deliver to multiple locations?

At this time, an order can only be delivered to a single ship-to address. You will need to place separate orders for separate ship-to locations.

What are the quantity limits?

The maximum number of orders that can be placed per item is 1,000.

How many PDFs will be on one CD?

Each title is produced on its own CD.

I would like to view the manual but not purchase one. Is this option available?

Technical/shop manuals are not available to view online. You should purchase the CD or book for the latest revision. To view Operator’s Manuals (model year 1998 to present) and Parts Catalogs (model year 1975 to present) for John Deere equipment online, you can go to http://www.deere.com/en_US/services_and_support/manuals/manuals.page.

What information is included in a Repair Manual and an Operation and Test Manual?

For each of the manuals, information is organized in groups for the various components requiring service instructions. At the beginning of each group are summary listings of all applicable essential tools, service equipment and tools, other materials needed to do the job, service parts kits, specifications, wear tolerances, and torque values.


    Operation and Test Manuals include the following information:

  • Wiring Diagrams/Harness Drawings
  • Component Locations
  • Test and Adjustments
  • Testing/Diagnostic Special Tools
  • Specifications

What kind of payment options do you allow?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express credit cards.

When is payment due?

Payment must be made at the time of order since most products are Print on Demand (POD). The customer must provide valid credit card account information. That information will be validated before an order is fulfilled. The support team will attempt to notify a customer by email if their credit card transaction cannot be successfully validated, and the customer order will be canceled. Prices are subject to change without notice and without incurring obligation.

Why is it that my credit card statement price is different from the price calculated by the Currency Converter?

The John Deere Technical Information Store uses U.S. Dollars for all transactions. The Currency Converter uses up-to-the-moment exchange rate information which may not be exactly the same as what you are charged. Please call your credit card provider to determine how the exchange rate is applied.

I received an error message on the screen. What should I do?

If you can reproduce the problem, send the error message text to Customer Support. We will then pass the information on to our webmaster who can try to determine the cause of your problem.

What software do I need to preview the PDF files?

Most technical documents that are available for preview are Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) files. Downloaded documents can be viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher. Adobe® Systems, Inc. makes Acrobat Reader available as a free download from their website. If you do not have Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher, you can download it at http://www.adobe.com.

We are sympathetic to your situation; however, we suggest that you contact a qualified John Deere dealer for advice, diagnostics, or repair.

How can I find Installation Instructions? (Dealers & Employees Only)

In order to find Installation Instructions, log in with your dealer XID or employee RACFID. Then enter the model, bundle, or part number in the "Publication Number, Keywords/Description" field. Make sure the Publication Type is Instructions and select the Search button. To narrow your results even more, select the desired language on the search results page filter.
